System
Sensor smoke or gas detectors are a logical extension
to your home & Business
security system. Whether they
are installed with a new system or added to an existing one, the smoke detectors
can be connected directly to the
security control panel monitored by Extreme
Securitys Central Monitoring Station.
When smoke is sensed at any one of the protected locations in you home, the
detector will send a message to your control panel, which will then cause all
the evacuation horns to sound. The panel will then relay the emergency signal to
Extreme
Securitys Central Monitoring Station where the message is received and
a response made. The local fire department is then notified, so that help is on
the way, whether you are home or away.
According to 1997 National Fire Protection Association statistics:
-
Every year,
81% of all people who die in fires, die at home.
-
45% of
reported home fires and 60% of home fire deaths occurred in
homes with no smoke detectors.
-
There were
406,500 residential fires, 3,390 deaths and $7.0 billion in
direct property damage in 1997.

nausea. Advanced exposure results in coma, cardiovascular collapse and
death. More people accidentally die from
carbon monoxide each year in the United States than from any other
poison.
